This is the home of The BikingBrothers, four brothers who love biking and eating in Mid Michigan. We ride a lot on our own, but really enjoy meeting once a week for dawn rides and a shared meal. And now, we’re sharing our adventures with others. Enjoy and let us know what you think.
Sorry to here about kent’s illness. From reading the blogs it sounds like things are looking up a bit. Hope you don’t mind that we had Kent’s name added to our prayer line at our church. Annette and I will keep you in our prayers.
Thank you Kim for updating us on Kent’s progress. We have been praying for him, and all of you, since Kirk and Nancy told us of his illness.
We never know what’s in store for us but we do know that God answers prayers. Keep praying!!!
Say “hi” to Kent and the kids for us and we’ll see you all in the Fall at the farm!!!

Hi there,
A friend of mine referred me to your site. I am a newly diagnosed AML patient. I am from Ionia and I understand you have ties to Portland where I taught for 13 years. In fact friends are holding a bone marrow drive in Portland this weekend. This is my second bout with cancer. I have finished my chemo and now I am just hanging around the U of M waiting to go home.
I just wanted to introduce myself to you. We sure are lucky to be here at the U.

Dear Kim and family,
After visiting Kent today, I haven’t been able to think about anything else. Kim you are truly amazing! My family has been so blessed with your family’s friendship. We love Kent. It wasn’t one of his better days but we are still glad we went to visit. You are in our thoughts and prayers and if you need anything please don’t hesitate to ask.
Love,
Lori, Charlie and girls
My dear Kim,
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers are with you. God is with Kent and rejoicing in his coming. God is also there with you. You have been such a helper, working with God in Kent’s journey home.
My love and prayers to you and your entire family.
Love
Nancy Evenson
Dear Kim, Keaton and Kristina,
So very sorry for your loss. Kent was a wonderful, caring and giving person. My family adored Kent. We will miss him dearly. Kim, hearing your voice on the phone this morning broke my heart. You have been through so much yet you still had the strength to keep on going and going. I have never met anyone so organized and always so prepared for everything. Again, you are amazing. We are here for you if you need anything. Whenever I watch Charlie play basketball, I will remember who his favorite coach was and will always be “Coach Briggs”.
Love,
Lori
Kim,
My heart is breaking for your family. I am so very sorry for you, Keaton, and Kristina. It’s just so hard to imagine life without Kent. He was so vibrant and full of life. We will be praying that God continues to hold your family close and that He continues to give you the courage, strength, and grace to help you through this. We love you guys.
In thought and prayer,
Nicky
Dear Kim,
I am thinking Kent needed his strength, his humor, his courage, and that incredible drive to overcome just to be brave enough to say goodbye to you. I have no doubt he is arm in arm with Christ tonight, watching over you, trying to let you know it’s okay it’s okay it’s okay. I pray for you to find rest and draw strength from the love that surrounds you. I am so sorry for your loss. Tonight at church our scripture was my confirmation verse, Romans 8:38…. “for I am sure that neither death, not life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation shall separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” And N.O.T.H.I.N.G. will separate the love you hold for Kent. God could not have chosen a more perfect partner for him than you have been. What an awesome team the two of you built, and that legacy will touch the world for a long long time to come. As we mourn his passing we also celebrate the life he lived so well. Pace yourself in these long days and know that others can take care of you for awhile. Wishing you God’s peace and comfort, BettyBeth
